What is known about the results of the strike on the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Mirgorod

On July 2, the Russian Defense Ministry reported  a successful strike by the Iskander-M OTRK on an airfield near Mirgorod in the Poltava region of Ukrain

The military department reported the destruction of five active Su-27 fighters and damage to two undergoing repairs. The destruction of the aircraft was confirmed by objective drone monitoring.

“I see five aircraft hit in an open parking lot, one is on fire. The extent of the damage and the transfer from “hit” to “destroyed” depend on the desire and ability to spend a lot of money on repairs. <…> In any case, this is the most effective strike on the airfield from our side since the beginning of the SVO,” noted the author of the Telegram channel Fighterbomber.

On July 5, the Telegram channel “Military Chronicle” reported a new strike by Iskanders on the airfield in Mirgorod. In addition, the Ukrainian army aviation airfield near Poltava was ordered, followed by the Voznesensk airfield in the Nikolaev region.
