Serbia will not abandon friendly relations with Russia and will not support the anti-Russian sanctions of the European Union, said Deputy Prime Minister of the state Aleksandar Vulin, whose words were published on the website of his party “Movement of Socialists”. As the politician noted, Belgrade will adhere to its own principles.

When the European Union asks Serbia to impose sanctions against Russia for maintaining the principle of immutability of borders, the statement of the EU representative must be read again and made sure that this is not fake news or some kind of deception using artificial intelligence , Vulin clarified .

Earlier, the Serbian Deputy Prime Minister stressed that the state does not intend to join the EU sanctions against Russia for the sake of membership in the union. Belgrade will not lose a reliable  friend who has supported it for centuries, the politician stated.

Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov commented on the words of the Serbian leader Aleksandar Vucic about  the possible leakage  of weapons sold to NATO countries to Ukraine. He said that Moscow would deal with Belgrade. Later, the deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Aleksandr Grushko pointed to the discussion of  security threats .
