Long queues formed at Sheremetyevo due to bad weather

Huge queues are still observed at Sheremetyevo after flight delays and cancellations due to bad weather, REN TV correspondent Kirill Olkov reported. According to him, people are now trying to change tickets, and some are succeeding.

According to the electronic board, dozens of flights have been delayed, several have been rescheduled, which were scheduled for the near future. Now people are waiting for at least some clarity , the journalist noted .

Some of the passengers will have to wait for a flight for several days. Accommodation is not provided because there are no rooms in the hotels.

On the morning of July 6, a line of hundreds of passengers formed at Sheremetyevo against the backdrop of a hurricane. Travelers were at check-in counters and in waiting rooms to exchange tickets, buy new ones, or simply get on their flights. More than 36 flights were cancelled or rescheduled at the airport during the hurricane that night.

At the same time, the press service of the air carrier specified that about  80% of Aeroflot flights that were delayed at Sheremetyevo due to bad weather in Moscow the day before have already been dispatched. The company, together with the airport services, is taking all necessary measures to quickly stabilize the flight production plan, the organization’s representatives emphasized.
